The short version

• The site has no accounts, no sign-up or contact forms, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
• The site doesn’t set any cookies itself.
• If you email us, we use your email only to reply.

What we handle

• Emails you send us. If you contact us by email, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply and keep a record of the conversation. Legal basis: legitimate interests (responding to you). We keep emails only as long as needed to deal with your message.
• Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Legal basis: legitimate interests (running a secure website). See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Cookies

What2Buy does not set any cookies and doesn’t use analytics or advertising tags. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security mechanisms to protect the site from abuse.

Amazon links: when you click a link to Amazon.co.uk, you leave our site. Amazon may set cookies on its own site so that a qualifying purchase can be credited to us. Those cookies are set by Amazon, not by us, and are covered by Amazon’s privacy notice and cookie notice.

If we ever add non-essential cookies or analytics, we’ll update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

Sharing your data

We don’t sell your personal data. We only share it with service providers that help run the site and our email (such as our hosting provider), or where required by law.

International transfers

Cloudflare operates a global network, so technical data may be processed outside the UK. Cloudflare provides safeguards for international transfers as described in its privacy policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To use them, email admin@what2buy.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
